It Takes Two will probably be different soon: GTA-Publisher Take

If you think about IT TAKES Two, then you certainly come to mind the co-op adventure from this year. Within the video game industry, there is also the Publisher Take-Two, which distributes games from Rockstar Games. Actually, both have nothing to do with each other, but now super one of the other. The reason: the name similarity.

It Takes Two: The trademark rights are more complicated than expected

Haze light, the studio behind it Takes Two, was hit by a trademark claim. This comes from Take-Two and was already taken at the beginning of the year before the release of the game. Now it became known that Haze light actually abandoned the ownership for the name.

Still unknown, what happened : In a statement on Euro gamer, Haze light only stressed that the studio does not speak about ongoing negotiations. However, the problems should be solved soon.

What does that mean? Still is not as accurate as Haze light will now handle the claim. It could be that you have to change the name of the game again. Even with any Sequel, you would have to go away from IT TAKES Two names completely.

Take-Two complains about everywhere : Haze light is just one of many companies that need to take it with the publisher currently. Thus trademark rights were used around the world where names are in it like Rock star, Social Club, Mafia, Civilization and more.

It is currently not clear why, now societies and games that have only minimally a name that reminds of Take-Two, have problems. The publisher has not yet expressed itself to the whole thing.
