TSG candidate Breitenreiter in Zurich probably before saying goodbye

According to media reports, the coach André Breitenreiter, who was allegedly courted by TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, is about to say goodbye to Swiss champion FC Zurich. The 48-year-old's departure was "decided", wrote the newspaper "Blick" on its website. The "kicker" had reported that Breitenreiter was a candidate in Hoffenheim.

Nächster Halt: Europa! The TSG did not comment on it. The Kraichgauer had played a European Cup place with nine winless games at the end of the season, before that the TSG even located Champions League. Coach Sebastian Hoeneß therefore had to go after two years this week. Breitenreiter rose in 2014 with SC Paderborn and in 2017 with Hannover 96 to the Bundesliga. In between he trained FC Schake 04. After a break between 2019 and 2021, he hired in Zurich and led FC to the title.
